Katie is seeking to regenerate deep connections between people and food. While this takes many forms, Katie has consulted with food brands to explore regenerative agriculture though a paradigmatic shift that centers around place-based knowledge, reciprocity, and living systems thinking. Through this work, she recognizes social and racial justice for farmers and communities is vital and central to the discussion. She is interested in helping food brands identify their worldviews to create unique opportunities for brands to regenerate their business practices and strategies for positive environmental and social impacts. Some of her specific areas of interest reside in procurement
and storytelling for small-medium sized food companies.
In Katie's free time, she can usually be found exploring outdoors or experimenting in the kitchen where she finds deep connection with land and food. She is always looking for new recipes or ingredients to try!
